A word on parental control apps

Whenever I look at the tech around my kids, I see it more like a double-edged sword. One one hand, it’s a great virtual learning place, and on the other, it’s full of dangers and parental woes Internet offers higher intellect learning that develops your child’s brain at a blazing speed. If it weren’t for the computers and smartphones, our kids wouldn’t have never been so conscious of the world around them. We can easily conclude that the benefits of internet outweigh its downsides. In fact, the dangers associated with the use of internet could be reduced to a minimum with some help from a parental control app.

You might be underestimating the social challenges that the internet pose, but just imagine how convenient it is for your kids to access pornography. Or imagine your kids being bullied on social media platforms because they weren’t closely aware of the digital etiquette of posting on social media.

Start off right

Getting your hands onto the right parental control can largely make parenting easy for you. When you handover your child their first cell phone, it’s best that you preinstall a parental control on it. If you are questioned why they are monitored, you can explain to your kids that it’s just for the time till they learn to safely use their digital devices. Some of the essentials of a parental control app include:

  • App blocking: With this feature, you can let your kids use only those apps that are suitable for their age.
  • GPS tracking and geofencing: With GPS tracking, you can keep tabs on your kids’ outdoor whereabouts. Digital safety isn’t everything. The risks that are lurking around your kids’ social media and dating app can easily be translated in their real world.
  • Remote commands: Your parental control app should be able to remotely lock/unlock the target device.

Apart from the aforementioned, there are tons of other features that you should have on your parental control. Check out Trackmyfone and see if it suits your parental monitoring needs.
